Annenberg Learner, an organization dedicated to advancing teaching in public schools, had a WordPress theme for their blog that didn’t effectively support their needs as an organization. The company blog, LearnerLog.org, needed to support multiple authors. They needed a better design. And it all needed to make sharing their multimedia content more easily with social networks.
We developed the current LearnerLog.org blog leveraging the Genesis WordPress framework. We wanted the project to be a well-designed and search friendly theme that could support multiple authors along with visual media (images and videos). We wanted the WordPress theme to align better with Annenberg Learner’s principles of bringing “the best resources to help teachers become thoughtful learners and incredible teachers in schools and homes.”
The new mobile responsive WordPress theme supports six Leaner Log bloggers and looks great on mobile phones, tablets or desktops. It’s built with an attention to search engine optimization and makes it easier for teachers to share the content with their communities. It’s always rewarding to work on projects that help to develop more effective ways to share ideas and knowledge.
